    @@@@@
A little more than a year ago, Wisdom was able to lift between 135 pounds and 200 pounds in the gym.
That was before West Nile virus paralyzed him, leaving him in a hospital bed for months.
During this recent therapy session, Elias tells him he鈥檚 an inspiration to other patients. Wisdom isn鈥檛 enthusiastic about that word.
鈥淭hey http://www.mediarchives.saint-ouen.fr/louis-vuitton/louis-vuitton-epi-bags.html - louis vuitton sacoche say 鈥榠nspiration鈥?and 鈥榟ero,鈥?and I鈥檝e heard these terms, and I don鈥檛 think that I鈥檓 that,鈥?Wisdom said. 鈥淚 think that鈥檚 something someone makes a choice to do. They choose to go into a burning building. I鈥檓 just dealing with the cards that were dealt to me.鈥?
This coming from a guy who doctors say shouldn鈥檛 have lived. And after he survived, they said he probably wouldn鈥檛 walk again.
He has defied those claims, but he hasn鈥檛 done it alone, he said.
鈥淕od is good, and modern-day miracles do happen,鈥?he said.
For Wisdom, memories of the first days of his illness are foggy. But for his wife, Jessica Wisdom, the days spent in the hospital still are vivid.
She remembers when her husband first got sick in early October 2013 and how they thought it was just a result of him over exercising. She remembers him waking up in the middle of the night and the drive to the hospital that she spent praying.
But one day in particular jumps out more than the rest.
Jason Wisdom had been in the hospital for 10 days, and although he still looked unhealthy, he seemed to be getting better.
Jessica Wisdom was out in the hallway, talking on the phone to a co-worker, when her husband鈥檚 aunt came out of the room.
鈥淛essica, is that normal? Is he supposed to be doing that?鈥?his aunt asked.
Jessica Wisdom walked into her husband鈥檚 hospital room, and all she could see was the whites of his eyes.
    He was unresponsive.
鈥淚 was just in here 鈥?what happened?鈥?she thought.
Quickly, nurses and doctors rushed into the room. They moved Jason Wisdom to an intensive care unit room, and that room was quickly full of people working to save his life.
Meanwhile, Jessica Wisdom sat in the waiting room nearby with a group of friends and family. After a little while waiting, their conversation turned light-hearted, and everyone else was starting to calm down.
But Jessica Wisdom heard something that alarmed her, a 鈥淐ode Blue鈥?over the intercom, directing medical personnel to go to her husband鈥檚 room for life-saving measures.
Jessica Wisdom works in a hospital, so she knew what this code meant, but her friends and family didn鈥檛.
A doctor/co-worker had come to visit, and he was in the waiting room, too.
He could see the room where http://www.mediarchives.saint-ouen.fr/louis-vuitton/messenger-bags-louis-vuitton.html - louis vuitton recrutement Jason Wisdom was. He watched as medical professionals filled the small intensive care room. Usually a calm guy, he looked at Jessica Wisdom with fear and panic.
Until this point, she had remained calm. But in this moment, she thought back to the families she had watched in the ICU, crying after their loved ones didn鈥檛 make it. She had spent almost no time out of the hospital 鈥?eating, sleeping and showering there.
At this moment, Jessica Wisdom fell to her knees and wailed. Her husband was dying.
鈥淧robably like I鈥檝e never cried in my life,鈥?she said.
鈥淭hey said Jason really pushed all of the knowledge of the people in that room and that they said they were taking books off the shelf and dusting off spider webs because they didn鈥檛 know what the hell was going on with him.鈥?
The medical staff saved his life that day, but it didn鈥檛 come easy. There is no cure or vaccine for West Nile virus, so the medical care that Jason Wisdom received was just to treat the symptoms that he developed.
Most people who contract West Nile 鈥?an estimated 80 percent 鈥?do not develop symptoms. Of http://www.mediarchives.saint-ouen.fr/louis-vuitton/imitation-louis-vuitton-bags.html - lv hand bags the people who develop symptoms, most don鈥檛 suffer life-threatening illness.
    Giving thanks
Jason Wisdom is thankful he was healthy before he got sick. Before West Nile, he was mountain biking three or four times a week for about three hours, taking the more challenging blue and red loops at Lake Stanley Draper.
He was running, swimming and going to the gym. He was working full-time, running a custard store that he owned in Moore.
His doctors told him that he was the worst case they had ever seen.
The Wisdoms feel like they made it through and continue to push, thanks to the strength God has provided them.
鈥淚 believe this was part of God鈥檚 plan to somehow forward his kingdom and glorify God,鈥?Jessica Wisdom said.
鈥淏ecause from the very beginning there was this peace and this sense that God鈥檚 got you and this is going to be under control. There were times when, even when he was at the closest moments of death, that I clearly felt God鈥檚 presence and him overwhelming me with this sense that everything is going to be OK 鈥?and it was, and it is. I do believe he had it from start to finish.鈥?
